What to Wear

Whether you’re looking for a date-night activity or a day with your friends, wine tasting offers something for every event, or just because! We’ve learned the perfect wine tasting outfit has a lot to do with comfort. You may be standing or sitting for a long period of time, and you’ll be consuming copious amounts of liquid (and snacks). This is no time to restrict yourself, wear something you’ll be comfortable in!

  1. Comfortable shoes are a must. If you’ve ever been wine tasting, you know there is a lot of standing, and walking involved. You’ll do a lot of walking on grass and uneven surfaces, so wedges, block heels, or flat shoes are best.
  2. When wine tasting you’ll be holding brochures, bread sticks (why are those things so good), and a glass of wine. You don’t want to be fumbling with your purse as well. Go for something hands free.
  3. Make sure you aren’t too casual. Skip the flip-flops and ripped jeans, but you also don’t want to be overdone. Our top picks – easy maxi dresses, jumpsuits, or cropped jeans.
  4. Layers – temperature can change quite drastically from daytime to dusk as well as where you are in the region. Pack a light jacket such as a denim or leather jacket.
