Don Miguel Gascon Malbec

From: Argentina

Variety: Malbec

Price: $15

A grocery store staple! This is one of the first Malbec’s I ever tried and it made me fall in love with the varietal. It’s full bodied and fruity with a silky finish. Fun fact – I introduced this to my older brother (a non wine drinker at the time, don’t worry I’ve converted him) over dinner one night and I only got a glass of it before he finished the bottle on us, it’s that good!

Cleto Chiarli Lambrusco di Sorbara Vecchia Modena 2019

From: Emilia-Romagna, Italy

Variety: Lambrusco

Price: $16

So I mistakenly ordered this bottle thinking it was their deep ruby lambrusco that I fell in love with at a local wine bar. Naturally I was so disappointed when I poured this and it came out as a (beautiful) rose color. What I wasn’t disappointed with was how delicious it was 🤤 We bought this bottle to pair with our girl scout cookie tastings and honestly I don’t know if I can drink this without a samoa cookie now 🤤 – it enhanced the flavor ten fold and it was incredible. This sparkling red is good on it’s own as well pulling wonderful strawberry notes and a velvety finish. All in all my initial disappointment with ordering the wrong bottle turned into a pleasantly delicious surprise 🍷

Black Girl Magic Red Blend 2019

From: California

Variety: Blend

Price: $20

You guys. This red blend is such a bargain for the price! It’s silky smooth with a tobacco nose and lingering vanilla finish. When you smell this wine in your glass your can immediately tell that it is a merlot based blend, so if you’re a fan of merlot this is for you! The Black Girl Magic Red Blend is juicy with plum, black cherry and blackberry flavors throughout. I gave a glass to the hubs to try blind and he was impressed with this bottle, especially when I told him the price point!

Avaline Rosé

From: Provence, France

Variety: Rosé

Price: $20

Did you know Cameron Diaz makes wine? Well we recently found out and knew we had to try it ASAP! Sometimes celebrity brands can be hit or miss, but this wine was GOOD! This rosé is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Caladoc, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s fruity and smooth with a long tart finish. Perfect for sipping on a spring day, or pairing with sushi!

Added benefit of this wine is it’s vegan, non-GMO, and gluten free!
