Wines for $20 or Less

Canyon Road Pinot Noir

Price: $9

Varietal: Pinot Noir

Location: Alexander Valley, CA

This is a great bang for your buck pinot noir. Rich in flavors of cherry and vanilla and so silky! This Pinot went down so easy we were surprised at the price point when we looked it up! We tried this bottle as compliments of concierge at a recent hotel stay and it’s definitely a great everyday drinker!

Members Mark Sangria

Price: $7

Varietal: Red Wine Blend

Location: Spain

This is a great summer drink. The sangria is sweet and fruity and very light on the alcohol content which means you can drink it without getting smashed. We usually like to fortify the sangria with some blackberry brandy but it’s good on its own as well – just pour it in a pitcher, add some fruit and call it a day. It’s so satisfying and you’re getting 1.5L bottle for just $7…. Check out your local Sams Club for this because it’s one of our favorite summer sippers.

Ferrari-Carano Fume Blanc 2018

Price: $15

Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc

Location: Sonoma County, California

I usually reach for sauvignon blanc from France or New Zealand, but this Sonoma Sauvignon blanc was a pleasant surprise. It had everything you’d expect in a good sauv blanc -notes grapefruit and apple, crisp acidity, and perfect for sipping! I used this to make shrimp scampi and it was very good!

Hess Select Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Price: $20

Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon

Location: California

Velvety – the best description for this wine. I’m a sucker for a good velvety wine. I used this to make some short ribs, and it was good for cooking, pairing with food and sipping. You really can’t go wrong here. It was filled with flavors of cherry, blackberries, and chocolate.
